I couldn't finish it for a pretty long time
but a sudden attention to its undone screenshot
[link]
made me to open the psd again and... the inspiration came back! =)
so here she is - Diana, The Scorn of the Moon
part of possibly a triptych but when and whether I finish them all I don't really know)

The dappled effect on Diana's armour is definitely the right one to go with on this, it gives it a really nice texture that I personally think really suits her. Parts of the armour look a little too purple to me, I think that going for greys and blacks would have been fine to contrast her hair, but I think this could easily just be tweaked down to lose a little of the colour and head back more to grey and would look perfectly fine. The hair could use a little shading as it looks very comic-book style in comparison to the rest of the picture, but it definitely gets the idea of how she's meant to look. Additionally on the art side, her arm (the one in plain view) looks very straight, I would imagine someone like Diana to have at least noticeable muscle, so perhaps some definition could be put in there.

The lighting on the large crescent moon symbol is just perfect, you can really see the radiance of it, and I love the glint you've put on the blade, it gves that extra sell of the brightness. You've done the glint around the hair beautifully as well, my only criticism of it is that I do feel like you could've done some glinting on her shoulder armour as well, they look a little out of place when everything else is so bright.

Art aside, the concept is very well carried out; I love how the idea of worshipping the moon has been taken one step further and been put into a stained-glass window effect - maybe you could even do another version where you take that idea further and loosen out the colour and make blockier lines so that the art takes the complete style of a stained glass window. Would make for some interesting lighting difficulties I'm sure.
